gu10 gimbal downlight

Whether you’re watching a movie, going to a party, working from home or helping your kids sleep, our smart light bulbs put you in control.

Overheating is the number one cause of LED failure; integrated LED downlights are designed to handle heat dissipation more efficiently. Since the accessories are built specifically around LED light sources, they last about twice as long and are more reliable.

They feature stronger, more advanced heatsinks that efficiently transfer excess heat away from the LED chips, allowing them to run longer in cooler conditions. This design also allows the use of larger, brighter LED chips.

The beam angle of a downlight is the amount of light diffused from the light, which can be measured in degrees. Most have a 45° beam angle because they are recessed. By comparison, a normal light bulb has a beam angle of 360°.

Because they are recessed, if you want soft diffused lighting (for example in a living room), we recommend choosing downlights with a wider beam (60°). However, if you’re looking for a downlight for the kitchen, a narrower beam (25°) angle is best, as it will give you a concentrated light, perfect for when you need to illuminate surfaces and focus on the smaller parts of the room details.
